Keep pushing no matter how hard
it gets. In my life, I will need to overcome many obstacles and fears placed in
front of me. From there, that could lead me to being successful or lead to
failure. The only way for me to become successful, is to overcome the defeats
and keep striving for success. When everything settles and the pain and
suffering has finished, I will be able to become successful in life. Just
"Keep pushing no matter how hard it and gets".
After 16 years a lot has changed
about me and who I am today, the days where I was the cutest baby every till
today a big boy. As elementary days came along I was the one to teased at every
day because for one I was the biggest in my class, two I wasn't the smartest,
and three well there’s not really a three. After 6 years of elementary here
came middle school therefore I knew that I wouldn't be the biggest boy there and
one of the smarter ones. So middle school was pretty freighting with a lot of
different people there and bigger boys than me, it was just a whole different
chapter of my life that I had to push through and get over it. I was thinking
"ahh these years in middle school is going to be a breeze" then
grades came out and it wasn't looking good almost not even passing, so from
there I started realizing that I really need to buckle down and get my act
together. I tried and tried to go in for help and get help from my teachers by
going for help during lunch, recess, and after school hours but it all seemed
that none of that helped. Then I then found out a way to get my grades up was
to stop hanging out with my friends and go home and do my homework instead,
then that helped me a lot and brought my grades up so that I can pass middle
school. Then came high school just by saying those words made me scared “HIGH
SCHOOL!”, so as I made my way through the first day of high school I was
shocked, but as the year passed everything turned out fine.
When
I was young I was active into many sports I played baseball, basketball,
volleyball, football, and judo. Those sports was a big part of my life and
sometime I would have to go back to back practices because judo was always at
night and that’s where, “keep pushing no matter how hard it gets” fits in
because even though I would be tired and lazy I would always have to keep
pushing myself to practice. In my life playing sports especially baseball was a
big factor in my life because it was passed down from my great grandpa playing baseball,
till my grandpa playing/ coaching baseball, my dad playing baseball, and now
me. But there was only one problem from me being to my best ability was because
I was a big boy and it made everything harder for me like to run, to bend down,
to swing the bat, and even just to keep the paste of running with my team. But at
the end every practice every game I had to “keep pushing no matter how hard it
gets”.
My
first year in high school, like I said before high school was scary for me at first
sight. Then everything was settled and it felt good to be older and go more
into the real world. Well when I went to Moanalua I was only looking to play
one sport and that was to play baseball and follow my papa’s footsteps. But then
came along some hard obstacles for me to play I had to keep my grades up to at
least a 2.0. Keeping my grades at that level was pretty hard for me because I
was put on AP my freshman year because my grades couldn’t make the 2.0 standard.
But the came another problem in front of me was to make my mile 4 laps around the
track less than 8 minutes. When I heard that for the first time my jaw just dropped,
as we made our way to the beautiful field I just stepped on home plate and just
looking out towards the field I look at left field (308ft), center field(385ft),
and right(257ft) and just say to myself I will take one over these fences. As the
week of tryouts just fly’s by I am prepared because I will “keep pushing no
matter how hard it gets”. Even though my grades where no well and AP was a big
factor for me to play I had to search for help and turn in grade checks every week
to play our season games. In the end I just pushed through and was able to
start at first base, and be 5th batter.
As
my sophomore year comes to an end a lot of things has changed for me I would go
and play baseball but after baseball I would go lift and just max out in every
workout. Then it hit me again my grades weren’t looking so bright, so many
projects caught up with me. So as baseball season came around it went well I played,
wasn’t on AP, and my grades where above the 2.0 standers. Then all of a sudden
an obstacle just dropped right in front of me and it was to play varsity
baseball, or judo which I both had experience in. Therefore I ended up taking a
chance and do judo and it made me work hard and push and push and push until I got
my first shot at states and it went well I did my best and came out successful.
In
conclusion, “keep pushing no matter how hard it gets” would be the best saying
that describes me and how I live my life. In the beginning I was the biggest
boy and no one to talk to and I didn’t do nothing about it but just keep eating
food and get bigger. Therefore I though no matter how hard it is for me to lose
this weight and get muscle, I will keep on pushing and strive for my goals
because I never want to give up on something that I haven’t finish and no
matter what obstacles I will have to take no matter what works outs I will have
to do, I WILL “KEEP PUSHING NO MATTER HOW HARD IT GETS”!
You have the right idea but kind of missed the mark. Your essay turned into one long story about your life. Your elementary, intermediate, and high school life, but we don't exactly know why till the end. You don't need to explain in that long of a story about school or growing up. Shorten it, give us only the important details. Also your story about staying late for judo to prove your statement is very weak. There must be a better or stronger example you can use. Please make the revisions. AS(1)
